OWN YOUR BIRDS
Junior programs emphasize genuine ownership, daily care, and hands-on involvement with the birds being exhibited. Check the current event information for any minimum ownership period.
BE THERE
Junior exhibitors must normally be present at the show to receive awards unless the Show Manager grants an exception.
USE A JUNIOR ENTRY
Each Junior uses the Junior division entry information and should include a birth date and accurate contact information. Missing age information can move an entry into Open.
MEGA SHOWMANSHIP
FREE, PRACTICAL AND BUILT TO TEACH.
MEGA Showmanship is not just a quiz. The established program emphasizes poultry knowledge, handling, communication, respect for judges and exhibitors, and learning directly from experienced poultry people.
MEGA Showmanship has traditionally been offered free to Junior exhibitors, with classes organized by age. Check the current show information for event-specific eligibility and scheduling.

CANADIAN VALLEY JUNIOR POULTRY CLUB
THE JUNIOR CLUB HAS A JOB TO DO.
The club's legacy by-laws describe its purpose as encouraging the breeding, sharing and promotion of exhibition poultry, improving breeding stock, exhibiting recognized breeds and varieties, and sponsoring Canadian Valley Poultry Club Junior events and Junior shows.
That older governance page has been folded into this modern Junior Programs hub so families do not have to hunt through a separate decade-old page to understand what the club is about.

THE RIBBON MATTERS.
THE EXPERIENCE MATTERS MORE.
MEGA Junior programs use trophies, rosettes, medals, buckles, cash awards and special recognition when event numbers support them — but the larger goal is to give young exhibitors poultry knowledge, responsibility, confidence and friendships that can last for years.
