HOME OF THE
MEGA SHOW.
Championship poultry, youth competition, education, family activities and fellowship — with the practical information exhibitors need in one place.
Competition and community belong together.
Poultry Showcase is the online home of Canadian Valley Poultry Club MEGA events. Shows, entries, junior programs, results, education, ALFA information and photo archives are organized here for exhibitors and families.
The MEGA SHOW tradition is built around good competition, meaningful awards, junior opportunities, volunteers, families and the people who keep exhibition poultry moving forward.

FROM A 1972 SHOW TO THE MEGA SHOW.
Richard Peters wrote in an earlier MEGA catalog that he began in exhibition poultry in the mid-1960s, earned his APA judge's license while still very young, and conducted his first show in Norman in 1972 with roughly 1,200 entries.
He described the later MEGA SHOW idea as deliberately building more than simply a poultry show — an event combining judging with youth activities, education, hospitality, awards and community. That idea is still the backbone of the modern site.

Quick answers for entering, paying, preparing birds and knowing what to expect on show day.
How do I enter a poultry show?
Use the red Enter a show button at the top of the site. Pick the event you want, complete the exhibitor and bird information, review the calculated total, submit the entry, and then complete payment through PayPal.
How much does it cost to enter?
Fees are set separately for each event and the online form calculates the total automatically.
2026 MEGA SHOW: Open regular birds $6.00 each · Open Large Fowl double coop $10.00 · Junior birds $6.00 each · $5.00 cleanup fee.
2026 Kansas MINI-MEGA: Open regular birds $10.00 each · Open Large Fowl double coop $12.00 · Junior birds $6.00 each · $5.00 cleanup fee.
Where does my entry payment go?
After the entry is saved, the site sends you to PayPal for payment to the Canadian Valley Poultry Club / MEGA SHOW payment account at APAjudge1009@aol.com. The show office and exhibitor both receive entry and payment-confirmation emails.
What is the difference between Open and Junior?
Select the correct division on the entry form. Junior entries are $6.00 per bird, while Open fees are set by the individual show. Junior exhibitors also have dedicated youth opportunities and showmanship information. If a Junior also enters an Open division, use a separate Open entry and follow the event rules on bird eligibility.
What kinds of poultry can I enter?
Available classes depend on the event. Current forms support Large Fowl, Bantams, Waterfowl, Geese, Turkeys and Guineas, with show-specific rules and sanctioned breed requirements posted on the site.
What health or testing paperwork do I need?
Always review the current event's health and testing requirements before traveling. Bring any required testing documentation with you to check-in. Requirements can change, so the current show information and catalog should be treated as the final reference.
What should I bring with me to the show?
Bring your entry confirmation, PayPal receipt, required health/testing paperwork, and anything listed in the current show catalog. Keep a copy of your own entry information so check-in is quick.
When do I coop in, when does judging start, and when can I leave?
Those times are show-specific. Use the current event page and catalog. The current MEGA rules generally require exhibitors to wait for the official release rather than removing birds while awards and final judging are still underway.
Do I need to bring feed, water cups or grooming supplies?
Bring the supplies you know your birds need, plus your own grooming and cleaning items. Show facilities and cups can vary by event, and experienced exhibitors often bring familiar feed and water equipment rather than depending on what may be available in the hall.
What should I expect at a MEGA event?
Expect competitive judging plus a family-oriented show atmosphere. Depending on the event, activities can include Junior Showmanship, awards, raffles, special breed events, educational opportunities and fellowship throughout the day.
What is ALFA and how do I join?
ALFA is the American Large Fowl Association. The current online membership is $20. Complete the membership form, choose Open or Junior, and pay through PayPal. ALFA competition is for eligible Large Fowl owned by current ALFA members.
Where can I see winners and older MEGA SHOW photos?
Use Results, Awards and the Pictures from the Past archive. The 2025 Winners & Memories page is also preserved as part of the modern site.
I still have a question. Who do I contact?
Email APAjudge1009@aol.com. Include your name and the show or program you are asking about so the show office can answer quickly.
